i did this conversion in my car but i had the problem with my ebrake eventually not being able to hold my car. i kept tightening it but in order for me to get it tight enough to hold my car on a hill, i pulled it tight enough to where it stuck on the rotor and i could hear it rubbing. it seems like the old ebrake pulls the oem cables in and out more, whereas my 95 ebrake only moves about 1.5-2", is it possible to get the cables from a 94-96 and use those instead of rigging it with a new piece of cable?
