92 lude stalls at 1/4 or left turns

hey guys, I got a problem with my car. I just got the fuel pump and fuel filter replaced. I have to keep my tank at 1/4 of a tank or she wants to stall out and die. This happens as well when I make a hard left turn. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this. I put a new sock on the pump when I replaced it, and inside the tank looks clean, no sediment or anything.

The pickup on the new pump might be slightly higher than the stock unit. I have been dealing with the same issue since I replaced my dead pump with a Walbro. Now I have to keep it above 1/4 tank. If it is above 1/4 but below 1/2, and I take a hard continuous turn (ie. one turn at the end of my commute each day is 1/8th mile left decreasing radius left that I usually take at 75mph), then it will sputter until I straighten out.

Way to fix this is to take the new pump out and extend the pickup with fuel hose.

Well, when i replaced the fuel pump, I just pump a new cylinder on the assembly. (basically just used a new pump and sock, everything else is the old) so would that still cause this? I have heard that a gas cap would cause this problem as well. something to do with pressure in the tank. Im going to put a new cap on it today, i just wanna get this figured out. thanks

Mine is fixed now. Required extending the pickup on the new pump. Just hadn't had the time to do it until now.

Ah, to be able to go over 400 miles on a tank again.
