92 lude h22a swap Tech Question

okay, so i just did the h22a swap awhile back. (about a month) everythings seems to be doing great, idle is steady, vtec kicks, etc... but it seems at idle i have a wierd winny noise. my h23 also made the same noise. idk what it could be really. i thought maybe it has to be with the vacume lines? if anyone could give me some advice or help with what could possibly be the issue, that would be great.

Btw, this is my first post here at preludeonline!

You need to be much more specific or post a video if you want any help.

Check the PCV valve. Pop the hood with the engine running and put your ear up to it, when mine was bad it whined.

sounds sorta like its coming from the timing belt side. i thought maybe alt belt but idk. ill check out the pcv valve. how do you know if the pcv valve is bad. will the valve itself make the winny noise?

just tryed the pcv valve. took it off and sprayed it with carb cleaner but still nothing. same thing. i was thinking maybe could be the injectors that making the wining noise. maybe thats how preludes are supposted to sound...

It get's stuck, if you shake it you wont hear the piece inside move, you can also grab it with your fingers and kinda hear the pitch change. Other than that, are you using the auto tensioner? If you have the manual one then there could be too much tension on your t-belt causing it to whine. The outer drive belts can do the same if they are too tight.
