Sup, i just got my new spark plugs replaced and timing belt and valves adjusted, i felt a increases in power but my spark plug wires also need replacing. I only had the car for about 2 weeks and just timed 0-60 today. I did it 4 times on a timer and got 9 sec. Why the Fu*k is it soo slow. This don't make sense. I thought my 160 horsepower si engine is suppose to do it in 7 sec. It has 110,000 miles on it. What is up with my car??? Could it be my shifting or launch, i hav'int had much experience in stick, 2 weeks. But still, i can shift good.
ouch that sux, i did 8.XX in my auto with crappy gas and never did a oil change... got like 7 with CAI and a nice tune up and everything in a auto... u might be stoping it at the wrong time... u can't shift maybe/..

Hmmmm, just my opinion, but all the techniques to driving a stick can't be learned perfectly in 2 weeks. Give it some time, work on your launches, work on your shifting patterns...there's no way your a good shifter with 2 weeks practice...like i said, just my opinion.
Yeah, when i first got my 92 Si 4ws i ran an 1/8 mile run at a track and i was running 9.5-10 sec 0-60. Now that i have Intake, Headers, and Exhaust, and 9.2mm Arospeed wires, it's helped but what really helped the most was learning how to drive a stick better, although my aftermarket Dual-friction clutch helps too

You are a funny man, your dual friction clutch is blown. You had crazy wheel spin when you ran those 10 to 11 second 1/8ths.

Granny shift to get a good rythm going and go faster as you progress. I tend to catch myself shifting too fast and slipping the clutch thus losing precious time...just my $.02.
Also everybody might agree that the sweetest gear is the third gear. There was a couple of posts here about missing 3rd all the time when they're on the burner. Practice a good 1-2-3 shift and you'll be alright.

Is that 0 to actual 60 or 0-top of 2nd gear. Preludes gearing are not prefect for lowest possible 0-60 but rather for best acceleration.
0 to 60 w/ a gtech.. did it multiple times kept getting that or slightly slower. obviously depending on launch.. if i fubared the launch i didnt hit 6.9XX
