No thats not too much by any means. Thats fairly low for a 4th Gen Prelude.

I know of a few Turboed 'Ludes with over 100k. You will have to start replacing some of your internals eventually if you want to go the Forced Induction route.

So to sum it all up. Yes it's worth it to sup it up.

I have a 94 vtec with 137,300 miles and I just got the timing belt changed and the guys said there is no gunk build up on the motor at all, so the motors are strong, they can handle a lot.

85K is a lot compared to how much my fat ass has walked since 96. My 92 has 96K on it now, but gonna get a new motor this summer.

i've got a 93 si. i bought it with a little over 138,000 miles. i've already upgraded the exhaust, header, intake, suspension and tires. car is still strong and rite now i'm around 147,000 miles. i've gotten everything checked and all is good. i'm averaging 22 mpg, which is all city drivin, once in a while i'll go on the highway for a quick boot.

200,000 might be a lot for a honda but not 80k.

Ya man 80K on yer engine is nothing for a honda. BUT! It is very important that you get the timing belt fixed around 90K. I waited because I thought I couldnt afford it. Well, now I have alot of useless parts to show for my insolence. 1700 dollars later, my car was again driveable. The good news was that my engine was in otherwise, good condition. No carbon buildup etc.. So anyhow... yer engine is most likely in good condition and worthy of lots of fun.

Hahaha.. well I guess you could do that! My personal opinion? There are alot of things that you could do to the H23A with that kind of money.
Lemmie know if you decide to toss yer H23A. WOOT!!
