6spd tranny

I know that some of us touched on this in another subject...but i didnt want to hijack their thread anymore.

Does anyone know of a 6spd tranny that will 'bolt up' to the H22a1? or know of a frankenstein tranny? I'm in need (as so is a lot of other luders) or a crusing gear. I travel 30 min at 80-85 mph and I'm getting not so good gas mileage and some wear on the engine when I'm at 4-5k for that long.

Unless you've got cash out the ass, a 6 spd is outta reach. The only way to do it would be a custom tranny. You want 6 spds? Buy a camaro.

what type of gas mileage do you get? maybe you need a tune up of a new o2 sensor. freeway cruising at 80ish you should pull at least 25 which is nothing I would complain about.

EDIT if you really want to lower your rpms at freeway speed you can put the 5th gear from a f22 tranny into your car. that would drop your rpms on the freeway quite a bit.

There was a guy on SHO that got a custom 6spd sequential custom done. He was in Canada somewhere. I forget how much he said he paid.
