6spd swap

Does anyone think it is possible to do the six speed swap from the New acura's or perhaps the new Si that is coming out?

its posssible if you swap the engine too, but you are better off buying them instead of swapping it in

swapping... no.

there are only 2 ways to get a 6th gear into a prelude. 1) full engine swap and 2) complete custom built tranny and possibly a new shifter (not sure about the shifter though).

Apples and oranges as far as a six speed H22 or H23. Someone, who's name escapes me, in the 5th Gen forum has a boosted RSX type S motor and tranny in his car. Be it sweet, i can't imagine the expense.

its about 5k for a k20 front clip... that's not including the custom mounts u will need, custom harness made, and other misc parts... for 1 extra gear and a slightly more efficient motor.

idk if some1 can accomplish using a B-series tranny with a H-series motor i dont see why its not possible....the K series trannies are on opposite sides, so why not try and switch out all the insides of the k into a H tranny case.

If you're going to do it, it'll have to be a full motor swap

you can swap a b series tranny into an h series if you make an adapter for it to bolt up to the engine but since the k series tranny sits on the other side of the engine it aint gonna happen.
