I have a 94 h23 si. I bought the car for $600. (non-running)It has 200723miles on it.
It looks like it was taken well car of till the last owner got it. I charged the battery took out the nasty air cleaner and tried to start it......Nothing..... Then I changed the timing and changed the wires to the correct plugs the previous owner had them all wrong. The car sputtered fired up and had a surging idle.
I plugged the FITV and the idle got lower but still had a surge in it. Then I unplugged the IACV and the surge stopped and the car began to idle at 3000 rpm. I let it run for a bit to charge the battery made sure the clutch worked (a tastefull burnout in the driveway)and shut it off.
I go to start it today and it stumbles and won't start it just cranks. Any ideas?

Im guessing compression.
I lent out my compression tester and never got it back.
