I want to do mods worthwhile.. but only have $600.00 roughly left to spend on the car. What would you do with this $$ and give an estimated price on the parts you choose?

Why don't you give us a list of what you have already done.

$600? Save up a bit more an get some decent suspension upgrades

For a second I thought you said $60,000 so I was . For $600, I wouldn't go for any performance mods since it isn't worth it IMO unless you have deep pockets. However, if you want to save a little bit more, I agree with Xander on saving up for a decent suspension setup .

I just finished the complete engine rebuild, and knife endged balance crankshaft installed. stage 2 clutch, and light flywheel. short throw shifter possibly coming soon.

Known problems now: clunking in rear, and rusted rear fenders over both wheels.

Think $600.00 would cover the rust removal?

Whoops! The mechanic said when he opened up the transmission a spring was missing from the clutch disc, and bolts were damaged that hold the flywheel on or something.

He also mentioned that the axle boots were dry rotted.. so I have to pay him more for new aftermarket axles.. oh well. $65.00 a piece with core return I guess?

There goes $130.00

Why didnt you go with a H22 swap? Pretty cheap, you stay OBD1, almost plug and play, much more power. Since your a car guy, i think you would have appreicated this much more than doing a bunch of little things to the car, no?

i would have went h23a-vtec out of the euro accord. then built it. for all motor. 600 it all depends on what ur needs are. If there stuff on the car that needs to be fixed i would address those needs 1st before modding the car with parts.

Rust is on the agenda

I didn't go with an H22 because I have no desire in owning a VTEC car, and I never high rev the engine really. (dont like to) and I am already as fast as a VTEC stock prelude is, I'm pretty sure. My mods are decent all the weight I got rid of on my bottom end helped me snap a 0-60 time in about 7.5 give or take, seconds. After the short throw, and possibly some lighter wheels, I will be happy with the cars performance. Just need to find a way to get better traction. Tires are probably on a coming soon basis. I am not using the wheels i purchased, they look bad on the car. hmm .. maybe ill sell them.

Yup, those wheels . I just dont like how the spokes are angled inside the wheel, it looks different in person then it does in that photo. a bit more "extreme" if i might say. I dunno, i might still use them, I am looking at a set of Motegi Trak Lite 5 spoke wheels, color anthracite, on polished lip.. 17". Some of the lightest forged wheels I could find that I actually liked.

cool sig pic man, how come your gauges are blue and mine are green?
