Low blow huh... well if it wasn't for the 5th gen ludes low sales and poor performance, maybe the prelude would be still around?
to counter that- i dont know about the "poor performance" part because the 5th gen has credible articles describing the improvements from 4th gen- and to comment on the low sales, well, unless you work for Honda, poor sales increases rarity-which then increases resale value. It wasn't the 5th generations fault for having them discontinue it - it was all the new cars they had coming in right near the performance specs of the 5th in a 4 door.
oh man I am gonna have to buy a PS2 now just for this game!!!!
And it's a 91 because it was built in 91, in Japan the model year is based on what year the car was built, so I belive you could probably get an early 91 3rd gen or a late 91 4th gen
very much agree, imo, only the s2000 rivals the 4th gen interior as far as hondas go, and as far as hondas go, no other company anywhere near its price range comes close to honda's quality and contruction.
Everyone compliments me on my interior, they love the leather and jet-fighter feeling cockpit, or at least thats most peoples word for it. every once in a while i get the **** about funny looking dash, but it doesnt bother me at all, as i love the dash, i love the EL gauges, I love how everything is layed out perfectly, its one of the most beautifully scuptled interiors... period. sorry 5th gen guys, but your interior sucks compared to ours, even with all the cool factory options like oem carbon fiber! just cause you can get the carbon fiber from the factory doesnt counter the fact that everything about the interior screams civic, especially the seats. my only single complaint is because im so tall i cant see the very tops of my gauges unless i bend down a little, I also like my steering wheel at nearly its lowest setting (which is why i cant see the guages completely) and i actually like the fact that my rear seats are bogus, its just temporary storage when i need it.
disclaimer: i am by no means talking **** about 5th gen ludes, i still hold them in high regard when compared to available cars, i just prefer the 4th gen in every way. I am only stating my preferences. ok, im a little obsessed... so sue me.
Anyway back to the topic.
I hope that picture isnt a fake, i boycotted GT3 for months and months cause they didnt have the 4th gen in it, i still prefer to play GT2 just because its got the 4th gen. and its not just cause i have a 4th gen, Stock vs stock, the 4th gen Vtec's are faster plain and simple and yes ill admit the curves definately make the 4th gen a much sexier car.
P.S. I hope we can turbo the hondas this time around.

It was a joke, but on that note, as in performance, the 4th gen vtec is just plain faster stock to stock compared to the 5th gen. Aside from suspension with the added SH on the 5th gen, i think both are about the same besides the extra weight on the 5th gen. As for the low sales and making the 5th gen more rare, i do not see that at all. Not to mention your comment on how it increases resale value. If you look at the prices for used 4th and 5th gens u'll notice that 4th gens have quite a high re-sale price compared to the low 10k and under prices of 5th gens that i have been seeing. I still see many 4th gens sell for 6-8k as i've seen 5th gens sell for 7-9K+ range. And i'm comparing cars that carry clean tittles with no damages.

hey people, lets not make this a 4th vs 5th gen war topic. we have seen enough of those and its basically all up to opinion. no side is ever gonna win. so lets try to keep it on topic. basically, no matter what gen prelude it is, i still take notice to them and i love seeing em on the road. unless its not taken care off and banged up.
GT4 will have both the 4th and 5th Gen Ludes. The 4th gen will be the JDM Si VTEC, and the 5th gen will have 2, a '96 JDM SiR and a '98 (?) JDM Type-S.
The Logitech GT Wheel will not come with the game, but it is out already...and I think it is between $120-$150. 900 degrees of rotation and paddle and stick shifters.
PS - the Ludes are in the Used Cars link. Haven't seen any 3rd Gens, yet...but there are alot of Z cars: 2000 Roadster, 240Z, 280ZX, Z31, Z32, and 350Z.
(I used to have a '86 Z31, so I still keep up with them)
