5th gen sunroof visor with 4th gen Prelude ?

I am about to do a 5th gen sunroof swap for my 96 Prelude and wanted a sunroof visor - would help reduce the wind noise as the fifth gen glass supposedly sticks out a bit.

I would go for the 4th gen visor but IMO the 5th gen visor is way cooler . So is a 5th gen visor going to fit ? Any opinions ? Have to first find the visor tho ....

Thanks

Yep, the 5th gen sunroof visor will fit. I had a 5th gen visor and glass sunroof setup.

there's a write-up floating around showing the 5th Gen sunroof and visor in a 4th Gen.

That's a nice write up but no where in it does it show the visor.

He is talking about the wind visor that goes on the roof of the car. I remember seeing a picture of a 5th gen visor on a 4th gen and it didn't look right...didn't flow with the car too well.

The visors will also stick out almost halfway through your opening, so you will only have half of an opening. The glass conversion will not stick up anymore than the original after you shim it right, will be no extra wind noise.

I have done the sunroof conversion with the shade, and thought about a visor. After research I decided I'd rather not have one. IMO, I would use a 4th gen visor instead of a 5th gen.

Well I am Thinking of doing the conversion using only the sunroof glass and not the whole assembly. Does it stick out in that case ?

Could you post any pictures of your sunroof ?

Thanks.

I modified the whole assembly to have the shade. If I could do it again, I would probably just swap the glass, haha.

You will just have to play with it shimming the glass to get it to sit right. It should have the slightest bump, that's how factory 5th gen glass sits.

After fighting with the 5th gen assembly and realising I'd need a top-mount brake light(don't have one '95 SR-V(Canada)), I just swaped the metal panel for the glass one.

I was unable to keep the slider, but my sunroofs open all the time anywyas, except when raining obviously...

If you don't mind the "moonroof" setup and not having the slider, I personnaly would just swap the metal panel for the glass, much easier and less headaches and chopping up.
