will 5th gen shocks work on a 96 VTEC, either base or SH?

from experience, 4th gen shocks fit on a base 5th gen, but the 5th gen didnt use all the line holder brackets attached to the shock that the 4th gen uses, so goin from a 5th to a 4th might leave you without a place to connect your brake lines. right now my 4g suspension is on my friends 5th gen base, that's all i can confirm.

I've been told the SH won't work, not sure if that's what Steph is refering to. Base is supposed to be swapable - you'll see a lot of people advertise shocks for years 92-01.

yes they work that what I have in my possesion and waiting to install. The SH WONT work, and for the base 5th gen stuts
you will need to transfer a brake line holder off your 4th gen strut.

If you do a search and click on the thread started by me you will find which strut is is on
