5th gen base wheels accents

whats up all, i ve planned on cleanin up my base wheels in the next few weeks...just wondering what you thought about painting the accents black...black is pretty much secondary on my car...ie lipkit, tints, front end...so i m just throwin it out there to see what u guys think...my original plan was just to sand them down some, re clear them and buff them to bring back the original shine...nothing fancy, but i ve wondered a few times how black accents on the inside of the spoke would be...a friend of mine has it done on his 4th gen Se wheels, but since the accents of the 5th gen face more towards the ouside of the wheel i m just curious...havent done anything yet, but here are some pics of the car so u can start picturing.

thanks for the input.

pics of my friends SE wheels with gunmetal accents...

I don't think the black would look as good on the base rims, as it does on your friends.

nah don't do it. i love your car the way it is. you could refinish the wheels, make them better than new. that's all i wouild do.

if i were you i might paint the lip kit though. it looks nice like that but really you can't even tell u have one sometimes.

^^^yea refinishing was my primary idea...just wanted to see how u guys felt about the based wheels with accents hehe...it was not a sure thing to be done...paintin would be cool, but it would be too much work to completely remove the texture to put good paint on them, not only that, the kit is so close the ground its bound to start chipping after just a few weeks...and since i m such a perfectionist...i dont want to have to keep on touching them up and stuff...besides its only hard to tell on pics when its dark hehe...but not on this one ah memories...those rims were sick
