I recently started having transmission issues, for some reason third gear "went out" in my 1993 Honda Prelude S with the F22A and manual tranny. Third still works sort of but only at slow speeds then it kicks the gear out. I can drive it completely skipping third but I rather fix it. So what you guys think it is? Tranny synchronizer or what? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated....and if you think what I think it is......how much does getting that replaced normally run?

because from your post, you most likely do not know what you are doing.

You will probably have to find a new tranny unless you can find someone to rebuild yours (easier to find one) then the labor involved is also somewhat tedious.

this all assuming your 3rd gear really is out.
