5 lug? then don't use 5th gen axles

Well, it was time for me to replace my axles, so I thought I'd throw on some 5th gen prelude axles (being as how I have the five lug conversion). Turns out the spline on the 5th gen axles isn't the only thing that's different. It seems that the passenger side axle is longer, and the driver side axle is shorter. This results in "clicking" when making anything but the slightest left hand turns. It's really quite a bummer... In any case, just thought you all should know (those of you who have five lug conversions) that the 5th gen axles will NOT fit into our 4th gens.

Ok, here's the update on my situation. It turns out that a driver side 5th gen axle does work. It's only the passenger side that doesn't.

Could it be a bad CV joint making the clicking?

Isn't the axle length in the Helm? Someone could compare and be sure they are different.

I compared the axles when I had them both pulled out of the car. The 5th gen was longer. But, comparing the length in Helms is a good idea. I'll check mine later today to see what the length is, and then hopefully someone with a 5th gen helms can do the same.
