5.25 speakers in the front

are the 5.25 alpine speakers SPR-135A too small for the front doors? what is the stock speaker size anyways, 6.5?

According to the latest Crutchfield catalog I got in the mail, the stock front speaker size for a gen 4 92-96 is 6.5 inches. it also has a depth size listed as 1 7/8 inches.

No, not hard. The rear speakers will be a little easier, since you dont have to take off the door panels. The stock door speakers in the Prelude will fit a 5.25 OR 6.5 without modification (they just bolt in). Some speakers with big magnets will require you to cut the mounting basket to get them to fit. I'd say it would take you an hour or less and a few screwdrivers to install speakers. If you order from crutchfield, they will send you detailed, illustrated instructions and the adaptors to plug up to your factory wiring. They may not have the selection of some places, but they have great customer service.

If I had a dollar for every time I had to take an air tool to a car to rig some speaker install....
