4WS Removal

Has anyone removed the 4ws system from the trunk of their car?
I've bought some front and rear upper strut braces, but the rear brace won't fit, as it has to go through the 4ws 'computer' box. I was thinking of just taking the unit out, and not using it. If I did this, how would it affect the handling of the car? i.e not having 4ws but having a rear strut brace instead. (I also have a rear lower tie bar to fit as well).
If anyone has removed the 4ws, how did it affect the handling of the car, and was it easy to do? Is there anything to look out for when removing all the nuts and bolts - anything hidden?
I was maybe thinking of relocating the 4ws box to the boot floor or somewhere?

Thanks guys

Just relocate the 4WS computer to a place where your strut bar wont hit it. Thats probably the best option.

The 4WS computer is just a power relay, you can move it the the floor of the trunk or the spare tire well. Keep the 4WS, you paid for it, you pay extra for it with your insurance... Use it.

The strut bar it going to stiffen up the read end, not steer the rear tires. 2 totally seperate things.

I know that 4ws is comlpletely different to stiffening the rear end, but i thought the 4ws only worked at lower speeds (for parking), and higher speeds for when changing lanes on the freeway etc.
Therefore, i wasn't sure if the 4ws was going to be much use when i drive round a bend at say 50mph...........
