4ws rear sway (yes i searched)

i've been wanting one for some time now and so i did a search to check if the rear sway from anybody would fit.. welp.. the searching led me to something interesting.. it lists the same part number for all the stcok rear sways

i cross checked the 94 si, 94 si v-tec, adn a 92 si 4ws

at majestic.. they all listed as part number 12 under the rear lower arm catagory

does this mean that the si,v-tec, and 4ws rear sway are all the same?

I would think so, I recently went through all the rear sways myself and have a 4ws ... in our rear suspension for 4ws it looks as though the only differents is that there are tie rods instead of the Lower Control arm B that stabalizes the steering knuckle.

the stabalizer bar (sway bar if you will) has a stabalizer link that holds the rest of the suspension .. I can't see why it'd be different between the models.

Supposedly aftermarket bars wont clear some of the "guts" of the 4ws system underneath the car, the stock bar is the same between the cars but that does not necessarily mean the aftermarket bars are also swappable. There were at one point 2 4ws specific bars, one from neuspeed and one from tanabe, both now discontinued.

Are you sure they are discontinued? The tanabe site seems to have it listed and I do recalling getting both bars when they were listed as TBA 1.5+yrs. ago. I contacted a vender on this board whom was able to get the bars for me. As for the tanabe bar, I compared it to my stock vtec bar and it was exactly the same bends, except for being a bit thicker and heavier. The difference is about 3mm which I personally think would not be a problem for fitment.. but don't quote me on it.

I haven't been around in a while... but this issue appeared on the old hondaprelude forum more then a couple of times.

That was then, and no one made one... the problem was that many racing bodies outlawed the 4WS, or, required them to keep stock bars... no need for aftermarket, eh?

Check with Addco. If anyone makes one, it would be them.

and here's another question.. do i go with new honda endlinks or aftermarket... does an aftermarket company make them for the 4th gen... only asking this because 5th genners seem to have a problem with old endlinks and they seem to strip the alan key hole very easily
