4ws install on an SI

ok, i searched, found posts only related to 4ws and not the install.....

my question... i was looking through a cheap lude manual (haynes) and it was talking about the 4ws controller.... how to install, it says it right there, but there is an electrical connection you need to make also....is there something else that is needed that is installed up towards the front of the car to control the assembly??(it looks like the wires lead up front..) I want to get one out of a junkyard but I dont want to miss anything..
thanks

well all i know is there are about 40 wires going into the control unit in the rear...my guess would be that those wire going to a bunch of sensor through out the car? As far as main components youll need the unit under the car im guessing the axles and everything from the rear end. Youll obivously going to need the box behind the rear driverside seat and all of the wires and when you take them out you would want to remember where they go...you may also need to get the sensor in the steering wheel but im not sure....This is more of an educated guess. Your looking at a lot of work and money...I think it would be cheaper to buy a car with it already equipped.

you need a lot of **** i think you basically need the whole rear suspension, because a normal prelude's suspension doesnt move in the rear (duh) and im pretty sure there is a few sensors and then there is the computer in the trunk.

i have a 4ws and i looked under it and stuff when i bought it and there is all this 4ws stuff that youd have to buy...not to discourage your plans but i think it would be very hard to do. you should just take all your mods of your car and buy a 4ws then put them on the 4ws car and the others go on the regular one and sell the regular one
