Ive noticed that in the rain and sometimes in regular driving, the Car kinda wobbles a little (or sway side to side). I think its because the 4ws makes the car more sensitive to the slightest movement of the wheel (plus the slickness of the road in the rain). Has anyone noticed this? Also the same seems to happen a little under hard braking. It is the same on my friends 4ws lude, and we were wondering if it was all preludes or just 4ws ones. Once again I think its because the sensitivity of steering response and slight movement caused by hard braking. Anyone else expirience something like this?
BY the way, today I drove my car with 4ws not functioning (the light went on). the 4WS worked after I restarted the car, but i wanted to see how it would feel. The car wasnt as responsive to steering and turns seemed a little 'harder' in the sense of steering feel.
What do you guys think?

yeah, i feel the same way when it rains... but i've gotten use to it by gripping the steering wheel harder...
but i agree with you when the 4WS is disable... the sucks... or maybe it's because we're so use to the 4WS helping us when turning. I feel we have to turn twice as much to make a 90 degree turn.... it's crazy!!!!
how do u 2WS luders do it?

Is it true 4WS is also bad in the snow, cause that is what i heard (probably same as the rain)... for a Uturn 2ws kinda feels like turning in my friends Isuzu Rodeo
Anyway, right now I am wondering if there is anyway to make an on off switch for 4ws (for those rainy days). Im thinking kinda like a traction control switch.

when it snows, it feels like the ass wants to come out from under me but im a pretty good snow driver so i havent done anything that bad yet, it just feels a little worse. When i first get my 4ws driving it home i checked my blind spot and like swerved into the other lane, so damn touchy...
i havent experienced the wobbling u guys talk about but i'm in a 5th gen so maybe the stiffer chassis has somethign to do with that. in the snow no problems either, but whenever i turn REAL hard (get some tire noise too), i feel like the back is coming out from under me, like an oversteer. of course the back actually has full grip, i think its just something u gotta get used to.

Snow + 4WS =
I have spun twice with the above combination.
The 4WS counteracts the natural understeer of an FF by inducing false oversteer. Oversteer is bad in the snow. Very bad. Unless your expecting it or driving a RWD car tha can turn off the oversteer(letting of the throttle in the corners).

I just pull the 4WS fuse when I go snowboarding.
Then your car is somewhat like mine Except you still have vtec, bastard!
