4WS Code 20

Hey guys,

I dont know if anyone here has had any experience with fixing 4WS errors?

Here's what I've done so far:

1. Read the error message from the code - workshop manual says front sub steering sensor.
2. Soldered 4WS ECU with instructions from this forum.
3. Jacked up front of the car and did the 4WS front sub steering sensor alignment and electronic center check from the workshop manual.
4. Still got error message.
5. Replaced front sub steering sensor from another known working 4WS car (my jdm wreck).
6. Jacked up front of the car and did the 4WS front sub steering sensor alignment and electronic center check from the workshop manual.

Went for a drive and thought everything was gonna be great guns then got the error message AGAIN!

Has anyone had any experience with this particular error? Its 2 long flashes - no short flashes (I read this as code 20).

Thanks.

I'm in Australia BTW.

Code 20 also points to the front main steering angle sensor, have you checked that?

Might be worth doing the electronic neutral procedure on the main steering angle sensor. You will have to remove the steering wheel for this one.

I did the electronic neutral check on the main steering angle sensor and it comes up perfect center... thats why I assumed it was the sub sensor.

racinghonda: BTW this is Adrenalin from PA
