Yesterday I register my car , get new license, get new vanity plates, get inspection, and get oil change...one day of love for my lude.
On the way home from the car wash I see a pipe in the road. Can't swerve around it cuz there is no break down lane and **** loads of traffic on the left of me.
Bam I run over it and it hits the underside of my car...after I stop to check things out my fvcking radiator core is torn and peeling off.
No leaks and the car isn't running hot..but I will have to replace it. Sucks cuz this thing is only 2 years old. Anyway anyone know of a high performance radiator? like fluidyne or something? and what prices do they go for.
Turbo is inevitable..so I'm just prepping it..hehehe

Sorry to hear bro. Similar thing happened to me last week, but with a snow boulder.
I remember Erik (thatchmaster) talking about his new C&R radiator. www.crracing.com
I'm not sure if Fluidyne has made one for your car yet
I would definitely go with an aftermarket radiator with your future plans in mind.

Check the site it's $489..kinda steep but well worth it for my future plans. Says they only have them for 92-96 vtecs...but I think vtec and si radiators are the same.

Hey hey hey. I'd look into the C&R ones man.. they're nice. I love it. I didn't go back and read that other thread again, but I am pretty damn sure you can fit a VTEC radiator in there. Give C&R a call, as for Rob Cardona (runs the import division), tell him I sent you, he's a great guy to work with. As far as I know, right now, they have 4th gen radiators in stock... as some know, I had to wait for mine. There was a little backup due to a pile of those wonderful NASCAR people having some priority, and Steeda Mustang having some priority as well. Give him a call. He'll help you out.

btw - I know that sounds like a lot of money for a radiator, but you need to see it, very high quality, you can also have them anodized any color you want, you'd need to ask Rob more about that, it costs a little extra, but I almost had it done black. I thought that would've been really cool. OEM style.
Why did you call it a curse?
Is it because the 4th gen radiators crack?
My friend's lude and mine bith cracked in the same spot at like 95000miles! Lucky for us he knows the guy who sells them to the dealer so we got them including installiation for like 200 bucks.
just to let you know machine head fluidyne does make a radiator
for the 4th gen. they have an advertisement in sport compact
car, december edition, don't remember if it is for vtec or not.
might be worth looking into
