4th gens with CF Hoods and/or just Hood pins! please help

I'm getting a CF hood soon and I'm wondering where you guys attached your hood pins to. Pics would be fantastic or just a detailed explanation. Also anything you tried that doesnt work any other general advice (not too much could be on a hood) that you have for the install and pin install would be helpful...Thanks in advance!

I have an OEM style cf hood w/ no pins, I just mounted it like a stock hood, it floats in the wind above 70 or 80mph but I 've also gone 130+ with it on and it has never flown off so . . . your call. I have a set of hood pins in my garage, just in case it gets worse.

I have heard from other Luders that it's good to put the weather stripping from your stock hood on the cf hood.

No hood pins on my CF hood, i did use the front-most weather stripping from the stock hood tho. ive been well over 100mph and no problems yet... the first month tho will be scary until you get used to it.. weve all heard horror stories so i was scared for a while, but i adjusted the latch so it was just a little tighter and put the weather stripping on and that took out a lot of the lift from the high mph

That's because you're smart. Why push material limits when there have been NUMEROUS posts here about hoods flying up and smashing the windshield? Is it really worth it to have a sleeker look?

It's your life...your call,

It doesn't sound like some of you guys are adjusting your hood latches if your hoods are raising at high speeds, every time you remove your hood or adust it or whatever it is alway important to re adjust your latch, I do this for a living so it's not just me talking sh!t,drop the latches down a bit, also adjust the bumpers on the right and left up or down whatever is necessary so the hood is a tight fit between them and the latch, and I bet you are gonna get rid of that problem.

You could do this, but I'd think they'd just get scratched up pretty easily, you know?

Hey dude where did you install the pins underneath? I just picked up some sparco hood pins and I am going to install them this weekend.

I know one person put them in the hole on the front frame where you would adjust JDM headlights..where did you put yours?

I mounted them about the headlamps, there's a hole there that's perfect size for the pins. You'll have to trim the bolt down to have it fit...

Sorry, i don't have pics at the moment, cause the car is at a shop ...

Okay cool, so that is the best spot...I think the Sparco Washers are too small but whatever that's okay I can get bigger ones
