4th generation shift knob thread

Had an ungly type r fake chrome shift knob and have gone with a momo racair leather wrapped knob I got from a dealer off of ebay... 75 bucks plus tax the shifter in my car has been shortened by 1.25 inches and has a short shift adaptor turned out nice I think ---

check it out
http://www.imagestation.com/mypictur...&id=4148944431

i searched and could not find a thread on custom shift knobs --- so post pics of you re custom or stock shifter with knob mods --- I am thinking it would save some peps some time in work if they knew what works and how it looks ...

hey tyler, I like the IPOD set up, a buddy of mine and I both want that kinda of flexibility, where you don't have to burn CDs/Mp3s, and can add songs whenever. What exactly does the head unit require for that, an auxiliary port? Sorry for the OT guys, your knobs are fantastic ... lol

Having a Mp3 deck is much easiar than using an Ipod imo...

takes what 3 min to burn a disc... rather than lugging my ipod in and out of the house everytime I wanna change music...

Granted it holds more..

I still think a mp3 deck is a more logical choice

yeah but you have to finalize Mp3 cds, don't you? I will hear a song on the radio, go home, download it, but then I don't want to burn another cd just to get that song and few others on it. That's the main reason why I'd consider buying an ipod/mp3-player.

To hook up an iPod you just need a head-unit with an Aux-In RCA hookup. Then I suggest buying the Belkin Car Kit so that your iPod will stay charged while in the car (it also acts as a pre-amp), and then finally a white RCA->headphone cord.

Please refer all further audio related questions to the A/V forum... there is a thread where I have gone over how I hooked up my iPod.

Now back to the shifters...

Which counter weight shift knob goes well with a forbidden short shifter? Skunk2 or the Greddy? These are also screw type shift knobs correct?

Greddy heavy, Skunk2, etc....all work well.

The Greddy uses a set screw and the Skunk2 screws on I'm pretty sure.
