4th gen susp geeks where are u ?

ok i went to help a freind with his tein susp install

first i pulled the front cv joint by mistake ( mind u i have a 180sx so i stepped on the rotor after i took the top and lower strut bolts)

any way we installed the rear and one front but when we dropped the car off the jacks the rear top bushing pushed out throuth ( the shock rod came up ) and yes i tighten it and installed every bit and piece from the installation guide by tien

i am realy confused here wut is wrong ?

+ is there a trick to put the cv joint back in place ? its on the driver side at the big joint it self ?

is there any thing u guys can help me out with ?

thanks alot

will load pics soon

Even a cheap Haynes manual from AutoZone will tell you how to rebuild the CV joint.

Go to Honda, pick up an OEM CV boot and some grease.

did you install that stock bump stop washer to stop the rod from going too high...happened to me, i picked my brain for a while before i realized i didn't reinstall that washer!

and for the cv joint, i would just pop that sucker out and reassemble it...your much better off doing that...your already half way there!

on the pic its number 12

My CV boot was torn so i had to pull my cv axle apart to replace the boot just last week. It takes a little bit of time and patience but its not hard persay. If you need help, e-mail me... smonsch@clemson.edu
