4th gen prelude DRL lights & passenger high beam not working .

hey guys. still new to this site.

i just bought my prelude off my brother in law about a month and a few weeks ago and he told me the drl's weren't working. the DRL light on my dash is always on.

so i searched some forums saying the bulbs could be burnt out and that could be the problem. so i bought new bulbs put them on, only the driver's high beam works. i switched bulbs from passenger to driver and again only the driver side worked. so i tested the passenger side bulb harness/socket with a multimeter and no electricity was reading.

so i searched another forum, told me to try to get to the DRL relay underneath the passenger carpet remove the circuit board and try to re-solder it.

i currently am taking automotive in school and my teachers told me it's super hard to remove the old solder and re-solder. so im just saving up some cash for a new relay.

SO my question is, does the DRL relay affect my high beams? or is it my high beam harness/socket has crapped out?

The driving light relay shouldn't affect high beams test the wires behind the socket that will tell u if its the wire or socket.

I have the exact same thing on my lude, even the same side.

except the DRL light, while its always on, it will also occassionally flash on/off, not sure what exactly that means, maybe just my lude's way of saying one of its eyes are fcuked up or something.. I really hope I dont have to go further than the exposed wire/socket in the engine bay to fix this.

alright will do. if the multimeter doesn't read at the socket or behind the socket, does this mean im going to need a wh0le new wiring set for it? and are you sure they don't affect the high beams? sometimes the DRL light flickers and the drl's actually flicker with it ..
