Agreed. The hard top is a critical part of the looks.

Props to whoever did that though. Great novelty factor.

A member of the Toronto prelude club has successfully cut a Targa into his fifth gen. He even has a panel for it now which he didn't for awhile. Looks really good, imo.

^^^thats not type R convertible, there is no such thing, thats a custom job...the R on the bad is just like any H badge you can find on ebay for 10$...jdm 4th gen even had no sunroof option over there.

I think Garn was being sarcastic, main point being if it was a Type-R...being a convertable would make it much heavier and negate the fact its not a type-R.
