4th gen 95 si hesitation and revvin into 3rd and 4th - Honda Prelude Forum

i was drivin around today in my 95 si and for some reason today when i went into third instead of rpms gonig down they stayed at where i shifted for lil bit then if i gassed it more didn't go down just revved and it was all messed up same w/ going into 4th and when i pressed hard down on the pedal it just revved and rpm went a lil higher but didnt' relaly go newhere stopped doin it after a lil while but it was wierddd and scary i don't want my car to diee

ne ideas? how mayn miles are we suppseod to do between oil changes i got one about 3000 miles ago and lil sticker in my window says i should have changed it like 50 miles ago so i dunno i doubt thats it but ne ideas?

had my slave clyinder replaced and all the fluids like 2 weeks ago cause there was a leak now clutch works all nice but hda that prob tday

now some ppl are telling me the clutch mite be burning out.. that it? or flywheel or pressure plate?? help me plz

If you have an automatic, i'd say you have a serious problem. Probabally the 3/4th gear solenoid not closing all the way. You would have to check with transmission guy to really be sure.

If you have a 5spd. You have a worn clutch.
Does it slip in 1st on hard acceleration?

Do you get any sudden drops in power, ie: revs suddenly drop even tho ur on the gas?

i have 5 spd... has stopped doing it for today but i have a feeling it will come back..... doesn't slip ne more and when it did it was into 33rd and 4th.... i got the drops in power only when shifting like it wasn't intiating into the gear or something... like i would press hard on the gas afterwards and it would just rev and whinne then i had to let go cause it wasn't workin.. today seems not to be doing that but my clutch is going eh?
