4th G new HU installation and fuse question

Hey people, I am just wondering whether you guys have to change any fuse (i.e. changing from a 3 amp to a 10 amp fuse) after you change your factory stock tape HU to a new CD HU in your 4th generation Prelude? Because some people told me that I have to do this, and some said the battery wire already had an inline fuse in a waterproof holder (which I think its about 10A).

If my new Pioneer HU already has a fuse in it, then should I remove any fuse at all? Or I should just leave all the fuse they way they are? So, what I am trying to ask is that whether the “fuse is an issue at all when it comes to changing my stock tape HU for a new CD HU?

Please help me.

Cheers,

FLS297

Thanks Prelude555, so I guess all the 4th Generation Prelude already have the right fuse in place for us to upgrade to a CD HU heay.

Your deck will have a fused "always on" 12V wire for your presets and so forth. Everything else is powered through a fused outlet so you're all good.
