4th and 5th gen vtecs the same

i was just curious if the motors on the fourth and fifth gen preludes were basically the same. if i swap a fifth gen vtec into my 92 S will i be able to use the fourth gen aftermarket parts (i/h/e and other mods like ignition and fuel systems)? what about pulleys and gears and other internals? thanks alot

Yeah OBD2

I'm not aware of any major differences but performance wise..The H22 that came from 4th Gens had 2 more ft/lb of torque

forgot about the OBDII crap!!
where can i get a fourth gen vtec for relatively cheap? (around 3000)
i didnt really want to import a jdm because of price issues, but i could find a jdm for around this price that would be great.

hey mgw,
modacar doesnt show any h22's on their website. but if you could get it for 2300 it would be great. does that include shipping, and where are you located? also, if you know, what year lude would it be from??

they dont have them on thier site i think you have to call them cuz i went down there like 2 days after i moved here which was like a month ago and i talked to some kid and he said that he could get me FULL h22a'a for 2300 all day. so just call them and see if they cant get you one. but if they cant i know for a fact that jdmhondaparts has them for 3000 something i think but it includes everything as well. that honda motors online place sucks becuase you need to get the ecu axles and all this other **** separate. o yea i live in pleasanton cali. i dunno what year they get it from
