4G crank pulley vs 5G?

Are the crank pulleys from a 4G the same as on a 5G? H22a1 vs H22a4.

Reason being, is that the crank pulley on my H22a4 looks like it uses a 6 ribbed belt, while my A/C and ALT uses a 5 ribbed belt? What gives? There's extra room on my crank pulley when I put the belt on.

(A little background, it's an H22a4 in a 4G Si) I re-used my 4G ALT and A/C, and even P/S (just shaved the bracket a bit).

Can someone show me a picture of a 4G stock crank pulley, and a stock 5G stock crank pulley? I need to figure this out...since the crank bolt backed out a few times, and it looks like it's doing it again. Hmmm?

the problem you arer having is that you are using an H23 crank pulley.

All H22a crank pulleys are the same.

It's not by generation, it's by engine design.

Err sorry i read it wrong. You are using H23 pulleys on the PS and Alt....which are different than H22A ones, same reasoning.

Si pulleys have one less rib than their VTEC counterparts.

DOH!!!!!!

Okay, I retract everything I just said. LMAO!

So what do you think is a better solution?? Use an H23a crank pulley? Or upgrade my P/S, ALT, and A/C pulleys to H22 status? (AEM or UR?)

I'm guess the H22a ones have an extra rib to be more stable/secure at high rpms.

Here's one for you. On an H23-->H22 swap how can use use the VTEC crank pully. I know you can pull the pullys off the PS and the Alt but how can I change the pully on the AC? I'm thinking I will just use the H23 pully. I might end up using the VTEC alt though as I have heard it is higher amperage. (kinda thinking out loud)

Quick question. Any problems running an H23 crank pulley on the H22? Cuz I have it in my garage, instead of having to order a pulley set from AEM or UR.
