As wide a tire as you can fit really...
If it doesnt stop the wheels from turning, you shouldn't have a problem.
Just make sure it doesnt rub on the inside side of the tire, aginst the inner wheel well. I would imagine you can cram a really wide tire in there, just as wide as the front, or even wider maybe. The rear tires dont turn all that much.
You could put stockers on your car, turn the steering wheel all the way to lock, and measure the free space you have, then compare the width of the stock tires to the width of the ones you want, taking into account offset, and you should have a rough idea of if they will fit or not.
