3rd tail light - Honda Prelude Forum

Ok, i remember hearing somewhere that the VTEC ludes dont have a 3rd brake light up top, since they got the spoiler with the LEDs(94-96). i had a 93 VTEC and i know it didnt have the LEDs but i dont remember if it had the 3rd brake light, i think it did. well my question is, is this true? do the VTEC model from 94-96 not have the 3rd brake light up top, and if its true, can people please post some pics of how it looks, thanks.

I have a '93 VTEC and do have the third brake (non led) light on top. Not sure about the 94-96 VTEC's though.

Ya I have a 96 Vtec. I have the Led brake light in the spoiler. Also yes it is true that 94-96 vtec are the only ones with the led spoiler.

i know that the spoiler has the LEDs, i have a spoiler with the LEDs on mine, it came with it. im just asking if the VTECs had the 3rd brake light on the top of the rear window or not.

black96vtec, do u have pics of where the 3rd light should be, not the spoiler. thanks

Mine has it. I'll post later today. It's a 93 vtec however I swapped the entire interior with a 94..

PERFECT! thanks a lot, thats exactly what i was looking for. im looking for someone that is getting rid of that, cuz i am thinking about getting rid of that brake light. i know most people will wonder y, the reason is that i am thinking about getting one of defcons skyludes roof spoilers and since it would bascially cover it, there is no reason to have it(unless it doesnt)

led spoiler is only on vtec models huh? i got one on my 95 si. i bought it with it from the oringal owner. who never put money into except regular maintance.

option for the Si's. the VTEC came with it stock, without the 3rd brake light. Si's came with the brake light, and you could get the LED spoiler as an option. even if the guy didnt buy it extra for an option, it was just one that already came with it then, the same way i can go to honda right now, and some have spoilers and some do, even though they r just an option. mine is a 96 and it came with it too.
