3k rpm idle, wtf?

what is going on with my car? i have a 92 si 4ws and it idles at 3k almost all the time, i knotice i drops if i put it in gear and start letting the clutch out but hold the break. if i hold it like that for a few minutes it will drop its idle down to 2k. not to long ago it was doing a pulsing idle thing, it turned out to be the air in the coolant lines so i bled it all out and now it just idles super high. when it does drop its idle the air/fuel is 2 bars from compeletly rich on an autometer a/f meter, but when its super high its every bar from 1st red to about hafe way thru yellow. i checked my vacuum lines and they all look good, i might of missed one tho, if anyone has any ideas let me know i did a search already and found nothing.

thanks,
Eric

yeah the idle nut barley moves it down or up, right now its adjusted to lower the rpms. i knoticed that recently its been getting colder and it idles lower till the car starts warming up then it starts idleing high again.

Don't think this will help much but is your CEL on for any reason? I know mine was on because of the speed sensor joint. It fell off when I took it off to install my clutch. I couldn't find it and had to wait a week to get a new one from Honda.

For that entire week my car was idling very rough.....and at any stop it would go up and down constantly. I figured that had to be do to the CEL...maybe the ECU was running in some type of safety mode or something?...don't know. But I do know that as soon as I replaced that stupid little piece.....and reset the ECU, the car idled beautifuly...better than I could remember. Don't know....just something to look into.

I also changed my PVC (PCV?) valve before doing the above and it did help a little. I'm probably gonna be cleaning out the IAC next....just to be on the safe side.
