3" exhaust piping??

i need a exhaust and want to know if i do 3" piping into a borla Xl (dual tip)will i have enough backpressure or not and would that keep the noise down? (with a 24in. resonator) i got the h22a jdm type s motor let me know what you think because i dont like the big cannon exhaust and havent found anything suitable.

thanks a million

if your car is not boosted dont get it..
if it's boosted, still dont get it......
2.50'' is good enough or 2.1/4 is good enough.......

i know from dyno results from ludes...

Iwould say go with piping the size of your collector on your b pipe. I will be using a header on mine with a 2.5 inch collector, and using 3 inch exhaust to my fujisubo muffler, but only becuase i had it from my previous turbo setup, and i dont want to loose money trying to sell it, and buying a 2.5 inch system. I would say 2.5 would be just fine.

yeah but the type s motor has a 70mm exhaust piping stock, so i would nt figure 3" is that much bigger, how bout a 2.75" pipe is that cool? my stock piping is choking the motor.
