I would be seriously, seriously suspect of any rear suspension bits that came off either of those 2 vehicles.
It might be worth digging around and seeing if you can't find any empty connectors near the rear seats.
oh, about the two cars. i think that you could just use the stock suspension parts on the car. the green one looks like it would be better to use.
i just dug around in the car, or poked around would be more like it. i didnt see any connectors. if it isnt "prewired" then i am not even going to try it. if its pre wired, then i will attempt it. i was just seeing if anyone knew if it was already wired or not
Yeah, I have a 1993 VTEC lude...I was considering getting 4WS installed. If I found a lude at a junkyard, how hard would it be to get everything installed and working correctly?
After having done some reading on the nature of the 4WS, mechanically speaking, you would be better off buying a 4WS car and installing the VTEC engine in it, rather then putting 4WS on a VTEC car.
mechanically it doesnt seem that hard. i mean, all you need is to bolt the unit and the thingies over to the wheels. the hard part IMO is installing it properly and the electronics
are there already wires in the 93 Si shell for the 4ws?
A conversion to 4WS is more than just bolting the unit at the back of the car. You need to swap the rear subframe, you need the steering angle sensor (or whatever what's it called) and I believe there's even a secondary angle sensor you'll need, you'll also need a 4WS ABS computer because it's a bit different, and the 4WS computer. I THINK that's about it and I really don't think any other model would be pre-wired for 4WS. I believe it would be doable but not easily...
allow me to be more specific - the 5th gens had 4WS overseas and 4th gen VTECS came standard with 4WS in the UK, I am not sure about the rest of the world, but I suspect that is the case.
