Is 225/45R16 too big for 4th gen Prelude?

Hi ,

i planned to put 225/45R16 on my stock 4th gen Prelude,

anybody knows if it is too big?

Will it fit even when turning all the way to the right or left?

I also checked for 245/45R16, but that, in think it's too big
for the car

Thanks

No way that's too big. A friend of mine has 225/45/17 in front and 235/40/17 on the back, and he has no problem.

I've got 215/45/17's on mine with a 2" drop, and no problems either.

Sure, only thing I would look at is what the diameter is going to differ.
I think the 16" with those tires wil be like an inch bigger, so it will be half of that higher from the ground..

Get the right off set... anything 40+ and above should work fine...

Hey,
Is it possible to fit rims with a 35mm offset and 31mm offset? I ask cause my friend is sellin some Advan RG's, and I really want them. He has the proper lug pattern, but they are off his s13. He would sell them to me for 1k with tires So it is a great deal. (awsome shape too)
Thanks,
Josh

If you get the rim with a 35 or 31 off set, the wheel will stick out of the wheel well pretty far...... so you might look like those low-riders with their 12 inch rims sticing out 3 inches.....

I believe you can go 8 inches wide with a very large offset... 43+ has to be... 235/35 or 40/whatever here is the widest tire with a descent drop.

I forgot..... if you go 8 inches you will not be able to "tuck" your wheels in cause its too big even with your fenders rolled unless you have some serious negative degree chamber problems... which is a no no
