$2000 shipped...??

Well, I just ordered my H22A from www.hondamotorsonline.com after I spun a bearing on my H23A.

Complete swap minus Tranny, AC and shift linkage came to 1750 shipped to my business address. Thats a pretty good deal so when he said he had 1 piece JDM black housing headlights for 250, I said "why not".

Does this sound like a good deal to you guys?

I took a lot of peoples advice in using Hondamotorsonline and I must say that I was not disappointed. Motor should be here within 2 weeks and then I will be bugging all the experienced people on this board to help me get the Vtech working.

I will, I am thinking my car came prewired for Vtech since I found a blue wire in the area around my passenger side shock that just dead ends. I am assuming that is the Vtech wire.

I will try to post pics of it, if I can figure out how to.

did u get an ecu also? i got my swap with motor tranny and ecu for 2100 shipped to my door...also came with the ac PS ALT ect ect...and no the blue wire isnt your vtec wire...the vtec wire is green with a yellow stripe, the oil pressure wire is baby blue...the oil pressure wire is gonna be located in a harness plug, and the vtec solenoid wire will be in its own plug if it there..if not you will have to run all the wires yourself...peace

I wanna see pics when you get it. Doesn't sound like a bad deal at all! Good luck with your swap!

Its a JDM engine and yes, I am gonna use my Si tranny.

I hear it has longer gears(minimal), and since I dont race much at all, and I put 130 to 140 highway miles a day on my car, I figured that the longer gears would suit me better. Plus save me some money

Yes, I am getting everything for the swap including ECU and uncut wiring harness(helpful?). He told me it would be complete minus the tranny and shift linkage and AC(was told that I wouldnt use it). Not a bad deal for 1750 shipped. And 250 for JDM black headlights is a steal!.

Good luck, those guys fuct me over.
When I got the engine, 6 months late, they overbilled me for shipping ($187, was quoted $90) and wouldnt reimburse, my dist was smashed and the tps was destroyed. To get a new tps you have to buy a whole TB, $380!

Check your engine before you sign for it.

Also, the ecu didnt arrive for another week and a half.

i'm confused...i've heard $1300 shipped for a longblock from HMO.com

and it sounds like you paid $1750 shipped for a longblock + ecu?

thats an expensive ecu...or is there something i'm missing here?

Whats the big difference you guys are making b/w the usdm and jdm..jdm only has 7 more hp at the flywheel b/c of slighty higher compression. you just want the cool red valve cover

1. jdm motors don't come with red valve covers, only the type s

2. 10 hp from the extra compression is a nice difference. also comes with a different exhaust manifold.

the actuall difference in hp on the dyno is about 10 whp. which is significant

correct, the jdm ones are a true 197hp rating, where the usdm's are probobly closer to 185. the engines are identical besides the pistons and some emission sensors on the intake manifold

the jdm pulls way stronger there is no denying it. All the 4th genners running very good times like low 14's with not too many mods are all jdm powered.
