2.6 liter prelude

There is a local Honda place that is offering a really good price to bore out theredpreludes 2.2 liter F22 to a 2.5 liter and put on a different head gasket to increase compression. If it's worthwhile i'll get them to do my H23 up to a 2.6 liter and get the head gasket too. Has anybody done this or have any idea of how much of a power gain to expect from this type of mod?

it can be done, but it hard to get 2.6L by just borin it out, u would have to stoke the engine, and that would be that the rod/stock ratio would be really bad. so u can't rev as high safely

this was just talked about check it out
2.6 kit? :bigthumbo yea i believe that 2.4L was the largest u could bore it out. at 90mm piston which is the largest i would go, but if u go 89mm ut still 2.4L so i would go with 89 to be safe, but that me

i wouldnt worry about revving too high in a f22, rev limiter is at 6200 rpm as for the added compression and liters, depends on the price. I'd like to see it done.

This typically means that you wont be safe revving the motor anywhere near your stock redline. Not revving it to infinity and beyond.

if i every stoke my engine that high i would lower my redline for real, and then lower all the stuff like vtec, and cam profile, but that defeats the purpose of a high rev-ing motor doesnt it
