1st gear high rev low power?

hi 1st gear only takes me to about 10-15mph and im at like 4k rev before i shift is that really the best it can do? if i gas is anymore its just more loud reving and not much acceleration.. then once i put it into 2nd its all gravy from there on up.. is 1st gear meant to be milk? and gassed to 20mph? then shift? cuz other then that ive been shifting around 3k and it sucks cuz 1st gear has no power to get me to 20mph... sad? i dunno...

Might want to try taking it up to redline, maybe?

Well no, only if you want to go faster. Shifting at 3k is fine... I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

1st tops out at 31mph on Si's, not sure about S's or VTEC

The water you had/have in your resonator made 1st gear take a ****.

NO! water cools the intake air, thats why I drive through deep mud puddles to get the coldest water possible in my resonator box

I don't even know how to respond to that.

Do you understand how transmissions work?

Your car is an automatic. Don't worry about shifting gears. It'll shift on its own. Just leave it in 1 and mash the gas.

i shift at 8k rpms no matter what. i also live my life a quarter mile at a time.

kidding aside, you can shift any time before redline. All depends on how you want your driving experience to be. sometimes ill shift as low as 2k.
