1996 lude si

Ok so I have my 1996 Honda Prelude Si that has an after market cd player in it. I believe it worked before the car sat for a year with the either the battery dead or out of it.. I know that stock honda factory cd players have to have codes to get them to operate due to the anti theft systems. I wasn't sure if this would have anything to do with why my after market cd player doesnt work. It will power up and everything with the key on if you push a button. It will show display and the power antenna comes up. As soon as you push another button to do something it powers off and the power antenna goes down. I know the cd player works b/c as of right now i have it in another vehicle. The other question i have is I do have a stock Acura Cd player that I was wondering if I can put in there... If i call the dealership to get the code for my prelude will the acura cd player work or will i need the one for my acura cd player.
