That last picture of the protectors is sick.
Nice rear sunshade, bmw status.
I really like that dark maroon color too

Some ludes in Europe (mostly Germany) had motorized height adjusting headlights (2-piece chrome or black housing).
This is the switch to control these headlights. It helps adjust the beam.
The switch fits in the center console, replacing one of the blanks.

Every lude in europa have this option!

you must have it other wise it's illegal

only when you import a car then you don't have to have them!
but when you put xenon lights in then the must automatic adjust

^ Thats a good question. I am not really sure, but I think he is showing that EDM or possibly JDM Ludes have this metal seat belt anchor in the back at the foot of the rear seats.

All I know is my 1996 doesnt have this seat belt anchor. I have seen quite a few 4th gen USDM ludes that also don't have this. I wonder if any USDM Ludes had this at all.

Hopefully someone can chime in and clear this up for us.

This color was not available in USA!

Funny thing is mine used to be this color, previous owner did it but it was done cheaply so it faded terribly on the roof, trunk and spoiler. I didn't care for it so that's why my car is now NSX red.

even the OEM paint jobs in this color fade very frequently. I spoke with a bunch of mates from European Prelude forums and they are always complaining about Cassis Red Pearl fading and having sun spots all the time.

92-93 Prelude USDM dimmer switch to EDM rear fog switch relocation.

92-93 Prelude USDM dimmer switch to EDM rear fog switch relocation.

Just wanna post this small guide for those who have the EDM rear fog switch and don't know where to install it or have any confusion of what to do with those switches in the dash to the left of the steering wheel.

Step 1 - remove your USDM dimmer switch.

Step 2 - Install the EDM rear fog switch instead of your USDM dimmer switch.

Step 3 - Find a JDM/EDM dimmer switch. If you have a 92 Prelude you will also need the JDM/EDM switch plate (see 2nd photo). If you have a 93 Prelude then the JDM/EDM dimmer switch will fit into one of those blanks near the e-brake.

92 Preludes. You need this JDM/EDMswitch plate. It fits into that storage compartment in your center console.

Step 4 - Run those USDM dimmer wires to the center console where your JDM/EDM dimmer switch is. Remember that the JDM/EDM dimmer switch does not have a bulb, it does not light up. Therefore it will be 1 less wire to deal with.

That's it. Hope this clears up all the confusion about what to do when you wanna use the EDM rear fog switch to hook up your rear fog light. You don't need to tuck anything behind the dashboard. You can still keep your dimmer or cruise switches.

You can also use this guide as an idea to hook up the EDM Rear Fog Switch to your front fogs as well.

As a EDM owner I have that exact setup, with the rear fog in place of the dimmer switch and the dimmer in the center console. I always wandered why it doesn't have a light, perhaps it's possible to put a small bulb or led inside.
Take a look a this thread, apparently EDM Fits (Jazz) have a light in the mirror switch others doesn't but looks pretty simple to add it.

Mirror control? - Unofficial Honda FIT Forums

Perhaps it's also possible to retrofit that into Preludes mirror switch also.

A couple of German dealerships made a few convertible ludes. Or so I hear at least, I'll try to look it up.

that's a pretty cool idea. Thanks for the link. Yeah, I'm sure an LED can be placed inside of the JDM/EDM dimmer switch as well.

If you come across any rare or unusual OEM items, post the pics here.

92-96 Prelude OEM lighted key ring

92-96 Prelude OEM lighted key ring

Certain 4th gen Ludes came from the factory with the lighted key ring feature. I am not sure what trims and what global markets had this, all I know is that my USDM 96 S did not come with it. If you have any info and knowledge on what Prelude trims and what global markets had this please share it. So far I know that JDM definitely had this feature.

photos are courtesy of your very own Deaflude!

Lights on!!!
