190K time for new suspension? Tein SS?

I have 190K on the odometer and I think its time to change the suspension seems to be getting a bit rough. If I got Tein SS, would the handling be worse then stock since it is just a basic coilover or will it somewhat improve? I had these on my accord and was really impressed with the quality of the ride but not sure if would be the same in 190K car.

Of course it will improve your handling and ride. Why wouldn't it? You're going to notice an even bigger improvement due to the fact that you have 190k on it, not the other way around.

Go for it.

You'll probably get an even better improvement in the ride quality if you replace the bushings too.

What type of bushings do you all get? What exactly are they and what are the benefits?

Bushings for what? If you're talking about control arm bushings.. if you're installing these coilovers and lowering your car you should have camber kits front and back installed... so you don't need to worry about bushings. But if you're keeing your car stock height then use ES Poly bushings.. they're wonderful! I used them until I dropped my car and had to get camber kits.

If you're talking about the spring seat bushings.. well if you buy true (real) coilovers then you don't need to worry about those either as it's included in the coilover system.

Uhm, the Flex kit can drop much much more than .3 inches.. I'm not sure what you're talking about.

The Flex kit is amazing. That's the final coilover setup I went with after several others and is WELL worth the money. I'd recommend them to anyone for superb performance.

And last I checked guys you CAN'T put the EDFC on 4th gens in the front, there's not enough clearance between the strut tower and the hood for it to fit. That's straight from Tein, but this was about 6 months ago... so unless they've come out with a slimmer EDFC, don't put that into consideration when buying a Tein Coilover setup.

Personally if I get something - I am getting Tein Basic coilovers.

If I do any suspension work this summer I'm getting KYB G2 shocks just to replace stock suspension til I get some money to do more work.

To answer your orig question - almost anything would be an improvement. I have 177k on my car and I am starting to think the shocks are going out as the ride isn't as smooth as it was 90,000 miles ago.
