Hahaha that's nothing. I'm about to reach back 10 years to try and find an answer to the same question. Please forgive the thread necromancer, I'm desperately trying to find some information on exactly how to remove the speedo needle on a 94 Prelude, and adjust it over a few splines (hoping it is just seated on a splined shaft and can be pulled straight off and repositioned...) so my speed will stop showing 15mph too high all the time. It even stops on 15 and rests there instead of against the peg when the car is in park with the engine running.
I would rather try this first than having to buy a new cluster. I already replaced the VSS and that did nothing.
TIA

to remove the needles... you have to give it heat... (use a heat gun/ or blow dryer) just to get it warm.. then you grab a fork and wedge it underneath the needle and slowly pry it up...
just remember where the needle for the gas gauge is.. otherwise its annoying to see that your gas gauge is not exactly calibrated.
after putting indiglo gauges on my 5gen.. black/black... it looked odd.. so i took it back off..
Dont make the same mistake i did.

I did this and had same issue. I played with the tach till it worked, knowing it idled @ 800 rpm..I just kept messing with it till I was right...and if the tach is off a little..it really isnt that big of a deal.

Temp gauge I had no issue with

Gas Gauge...I filled the tank..waited about 10 min for the actual gauge reading to catch up, (For some reason my gas gauge has always taken 5-10 min to read full after I fill it), and placed the needle at the point I remember it being when the tank was full. (I'm sure its off a bit..but I made sure to make it so that the gauge read a tad lower than actual...so I wouldn't have to worry about running out of gas.

Speedometer - What I ended up doing was used a GPS that I verified read actual speed. I drove and matched the speedo to the GPS...then stopped the car and turned off. I removed the little post that stops the needle from dropping back too far. Then I pulled the needle...and repositioned just a little bit back (my speedo was reading faster than I was actually going). I then rotated the needle, put the peg back in and tested vs. the GPS. I repeated the process till the gauge appeared to be a match with the GPS.

I had a police officer verify it after and it's been spot on ever since.
