well guys...i tried to install my indiglos today....and it scared the **** out of me when the gauges stopped working...i managed to get the gauges on easily without removing the needles..but i thot i was too rough on them...anyways...i figured out they stopped working cuz the gauges were on too loosely...i thought i did everything correctly...i spliced the red wire with the black and red and black wire in the dash ( which i figured out was supposed to light the speedometer and gas)...and i plugged in the plugs from the gauges to the plugs....and i grounded the wire to a bolt near the steering wheel....but the damn gauges still wont work....what am i doing wrong???
well i just recently instaled mines what i did is i tapped the wires into my dimmer switch .....i don't remember what wires went where but what i did is just put the wires in the back where the cables came into the adapter and just tested them and then used spliceless wire adapters and tapped the wires in and all good
what does it mean to tap the wires into your dimmer switch? what color do i splice with what...theres like three sets of millions of wires back there....jesus! and whats a spliceless wire adaptor
tap the wires into the dimmer switch u see that lil box on the left of ur steering wheel the one with the dimmer switch, moon roof control and cruise control. well pry the box out and u see the wires coming out of the back of the dimmer switch well they go into the back of the dimmer switch into lil holes just grab the wires from the indiglos and plug them into those holes trial and error try them each hole and see if the indiglos work i beleive if ur sitting in the driver seat its the set of wires to the far right on the dimmer switch try those first the dimmer switch should be in the far right switch too meaning the moonroof is in the middle i think and cruise control is the left control after they come on and they work remember what wires where in what holes then follow the wires back .... instead of cutting the wires and taking off the cable shield then soldering the wires al together *big ass pain in the ass* there is these spliceless wire connectors u can get at any auto store so u can tap the wires together without cutting or soldering just simple put the cables into the clips and clips it down all good REMEMBER IF YOU F- UP NOT MY FAULT !!!
here is what mine look like crappy pics i know
REMEMBER DO THIS ALL AT YOUR OWN RISK MAYBE SHOULD HAVE SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE IT DO IT
do i just pry the dimmer switch box out with a screw driver? or is there something i have to unscrew....cuz the damn thing isn't coming off.....and there's all these marks now...from where i tried to pry it out

Okay..I never told you to splice any wires..I said to plug the red wire (aka power wire) into the running light fuse.. that way when you turn on your running lights, they indiglos will turn on too because it's recieving power.
As for the indiglo gauges, you need to use double stick tape to keep them flat and not bunch up the stoch needles.
Hope everything goes well..at least you got the gauges on without messing up the needles or taking them off.

btw...i once grounded my neons wrong...and the wires BURNED in the interior...
literally the wire juss started melting...and melted parts of the interior....
and the metal that it was grounded to was all discolored...

well i figured out everything...just that the gauges won't go on....is there a way i can test if it's the gauges problem...without ****in up the wiring to my car.....
If you want to test them, hook them up to the battery.. Put the positive on the positive terminal and the same for the negative.. That how i tested mine
