YES AND NO!

Yes, to the old german made hella yellowstars.
No, to the currently Korean manufactured hella yellow stars.

Germany used to create the yellow stars and they had a much deeper yellow. However, due to european law and the usage of cadmium (i belive a carcinogen and pollutant) in the yellowing process, they were banned from usage and production in ALL of europe.

So, Hella had korea make them and now (yes i have owned both german and korean) they are this nasty barely yellow crap with absolutely no quality control. Perhaps it was my batch but im sure that its all of them. I not buying yellowstars b/c they arent German made with qauality control The korean bulbs had a yellow film that was already cracking, a base that did not fit as well as the German, and a color that made me sick. In fact, I have one german made one in JDM housing and a korean one in the other housing. Thats why i never trn them on. The one side matches my HIDs perfectly then the other side looks nasty.

Secondly, the only alternative to yellowstars are Narva Gold that you can buy from www.suvlights.com. Just email Jen and ask him for narva gold H3's and he might even have H3c's. But either way they are the exact same as German made hella yellowstars.

I have the PIAA ion yellows in my USDM foglights. They are VERY yellow. They look exactly like the Lexus yellow foglights. I would recommend them. Light the road great, and look awesome.

Maybe i will take some pics later if i get a chance

I love my Ion Crystal PIAA 1400 fog lights. They do indeed have a nice very-yellow light. The light works great in adverse conditions and looks great head on because the emitted light is deep yellow, but the bulbs light an extremely-bright pale yellow. Looks nice

the piaa Ion yellow is crap, don't get it! It not that Lexus yellow. The Lexus Yellow makes the Piaa Ion yellow look like stock bulbs. It also has this rainbow look too it too so be vary wary of this product if you want that lexus look.

what do you mean you cant get into it? i just clicked on that link and it works. Second, dont count on finding the old hella or narva gold bulbs elsewhere. Very rare to find but suvlights still has a limited quantity. That what he told me. Just try the link again.

I guess you could say they're crap if you're a Lexus poseur, but they do a darn fine job of lighting the road in foul conditions (i.e. what they were meant to do). I'm sure you can find some bulbs that look deep yellow at any auto parts store, but if you want deep yellow light, buy the Ion Crystals as they are most definately not crap--they're very nice bulbs.
