Would a racing cat make any real power difference?

You can look at my setup to see what mods I have. I need to re-do my exhaust system because of my new bodykit and I was wondering if a racing catalytic converter would make any power difference.

yeah i think youll feel a little difference but not that much it also depends on what else you got (for some reason i cant see any sig.) since there is more air flow through the cat

I have the Random Tech cat on my SH. The power increase was about the same as when I put my Evo on, and the car pulls alot harder towards redline The advantage of a high flow cat is no check engine lights, plus it is illegal to operate a motor vehicle in the US (no matter what state) w/o one. Big fine if your cought, and I know people that have been cought (ok, one person that I know of).

You won't smell it inside your cabin, only if you stand at the rear of your car.

i use to run a test pipe before i took it out. racing my friends prelude, that i usually lost to by 1 car length, with the added test pipe, i improved the 1/4 mile by 1/2 a length, so i was at his door. it pulls hard at top end also. one thing tho, check engine light and it smelled!! smelled way more than any of the other cars with test pipes around here worth it? i think so but if u get caught with it..remember..its a federal offense to have one..at least here in CA it is >_< good luck

I think the Random Tech is supposed to be emissions legal, you might want to contact them and find out for sure.
http://www.randomtechnology.com It has some interesting information.

When I put it on my car my exhaust note became a little deeper and a tad bit louder... but not by much. Mainly I noticed a nice (and bad ass sounding) sucking noise from my CAI at WOT in VTEC. Sounds like a large vacume cleaner... (well sort of) and a nice strong pull all the way to redline. My car pulls hard well past 130mph now (actually hit an indicated 150mph on the Kansas turnpike going slighly up hill).
