is it worth to buy the OBD 2 97-01 H22?

HI:

will you guys pay over $2,000.00 for the OBD 2 97-01 H22a for your 5th gen or will you get the 92-96 OBD 1 for A LOT less?
thanks

Get the OBD-1 and then buy a cheap jumper harness.

Consider this half-a-question, half-a-answered.

Im cheap by nature, so I would buy the obd1 motor for less...
but then again.. it may also depend on what you plan to do.. how does your state deal with emisions.. that all plays into your budget..
would this be a replacement motor? you have all the other parts to make the motor obd2..

He lives in FL like me, we have no inspections, no emissions and you can drive around with a pretty loud exhaust and no one cares. I've seen people drive a Formula car on the road here before, they let you drive anything here as long as it's got lights and a tag.

Either way you do it you'll spend money, with the OBD1 engine you'll have to either spend the money you would have spent on the OBD2 engine to make the OBD1 to OBD2 conversion or you'll have to convert the car from OBD2 to OBD1.

If you convert the car over to OBD1 I have a JDM OBD1 H22a ecu that I'll let go for a good price if you're in the Jacksonville beach area.
