Won't Start Now

I have just completed the auto/manual swap on a base model. I was able to start the motor and let it run to allow me to fill up the coolant. I started it today and it was running fine for a while. Then when I revved the motor a bit I noticed black smoke and a bad smell coming out of the exhaust. I turned it off. Then went to start it again and it wouldn't start. It cranks but when it cranks, white smoke now comes out of the exhaust. I'm not sure why this just happened. So any suggestions will be very helpful.

your ecu could have power surged and blown your o2 sensor thaat could be the reason for the smoke... but as for the not starting idk what to tell you

my o2 sensor hs been acting funny so I have one on order. And I tried to start it early today and there was no white smoke, but when it was going to start. It just sputtered. So I'm think now that it isn't getting enough fuel or the spark is off.

okay, i did the auto/manual ecu fix by re-soldering the resistor into its new position. However when doing this is the motor still going to have a surging idle until I actually install a true manual ecu? And if I'm not mistaken, the manual ecu plugs right up without any wiring, correct?

No surging idle if you did the auto-manual swap on the ecu. It actually runs a lot better as well.
