Wings West RS Rear Lip Q?

when putting on the wings west rs rear, is the base rear lip ( the black peice ) to be taken off, bc as i was washing my car, i noticed that the shop that put on my RS rear lip, didnt take that peice off, and now it is starting to sag. On or off?

the black piece is suppose to stay... the shop did it right...

you probably need to apply more 3M double sided tape to keep it from saggin ...

pics to see what you are talking about.
the black piece is supposed to stay
the rear wwrs piece is supposed to sit over the black piece so the black piece shouldn't be what is causing the wwrs to sag

If you don't affix the lip to the stock black piece, the only thing holding it up will be the two screws in each wheel well and that will NOT be enough. I really don't see how you'll be able to affix it safely without the stock black piece.

It's probably not sagging, there will be a tiny tiny bit of space between the lip and the bumper. That's how mine is at least, and a few other rear lips I've seen.

It does matter. If it's off then the angle that you would have to put it on will leave gaps between the rs lip and the bumper. (I know.. happened to me).

The shop must've put yours in wrong because you're supposed to the base black part on to stick directly over top of it with the RS lip.

3M adhesive primer

The adhesive primer WW recommends is well worth the money. The RS kit isn't going anywhere after you use that stuff.

3M

I think it is the promoter. I'll have to look on the can. The WW install instructions has a contact to order it from. I couldn't find it local.
